Message from the Chairman - Mr Gerard Grieve

Welcome to the NISCA web site. The aim of the site is to:

• Outline the background and purpose of NISCA
• Recognise achievements to date
• Provide a programme of forthcoming events

• Provide documentation on Nutritional Guidelines and current affairs relating to School Catering in Northern Ireland which can be downloaded from the Publications Link

The Northern Ireland School Caterers Association was formed in January 2002. Until that date Northern Ireland was one of nine regions of the Local Authority Caterers Association. Under the leadership of Anne Campbell, Catering Manager NEELB and the support of the Five Boards, NISCA quickly took shape.

The official launch of NISCA took place in The Long Gallery at Stormont on 11^th June 2002 by the then Deputy First Minister Mark Durkan.

NISCA would like to thank all those who produced photographs for the website, especially NI Seafood, LMC and Coca-Cola Bottlers (Ulster) Ltd.
